The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced employers must report pay data and hours worked (component 2 of the EEO-1 report), broken down by race/ethnicity and sex, from 2017 and 2018 payrolls. This data is due September 30, 2019. At this point, judicial or regulatory action cannot stop this requirement from going forward.
For employers that annually file an EEO-1 survey with the eeoc.gov, this new service offered by APG incorporates the new compensation filing requirements for component 2 of the EEO-1 annually required survey.
APG has retained programming staff to summarize client data in a usable format. Clients provide APG with data in the requested format, then APG will provide the summarized data back to clients for upload. Clients can then enter the summarized information into the EEOC site either manually or through electronic upload.
The EEOC has just published instructions, and APG has been hard at work writing programs that summarize into proper formatting the more than 4,000 cells of possible data outcomes. We have developed a successful pilot and are now awaiting final upload instructions from the EEOC, expected August 15, 2019.
