Affirmative Action Plans (AAPs)
For employers who annually develop affirmative action plans, this service involves an in-depth analysis of the current workforce and a comparison to the available labor market to identify the utilization of protected classes. In addition, we will conduct statistical tests of employment activities to see if there is an initial indication of disparity analysis.
As well as producing OFCCP (Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs) compliant plans, we can also develop strategies to comply with federal requirements and develop training programs to redress identified deficiencies. Initial employer time is two to three hours to get things rolling, and the written affirmative action plan(s) is returned around to the employer in about three weeks.

Affirmative Action FAQ
What is affirmative action planning?
Each government contractor or sub-contractor with 50 or more employees and $50,000 or more in federal government contracts is required to annually develop a written affirmative action program (AAP) for women and minorities, qualified individuals with disabilities, and once employers have contracts over $150,000 plan preparation for veterans at each of its establishments.
A written affirmative action program helps the contractor identify and analyze potential problems in the participation and utilization of women and minorities, disabled individuals in the contractor’s workforce, and hiring benchmarks for Veterans. This involves, among other things, completing in-depth analysis of the employer’s current workforce in comparison to the available labor market to identify the underutilization of protected classes. Completing an in-depth analysis of its total employment process for hires, applicants, promotions, and terminations as well as compensation evaluation.
If there are issues identified, the contractor will specify in its AAP the specific procedures it will follow and efforts it will make to provide equal employment opportunity.
Expanded efforts in outreach, recruitment, training, and other areas are some of the affirmative steps contractors can take to help members of the protected groups compete for jobs on equal footing with other applicants and employees.
Penalties for non-compliance may include “debarment” from receiving future contracts, or modification or expansion of existing contracts.
